about

Mimi and Xavier Star in a Museum that Fits Entirely in One's Pocket, is based on a performative, 3-act poem by Becca Barniskis. It is a narrative of love and war spoken by two characters, and it includes stage directions and associative language and imagery. To extend the book version of Mimi & Xavier Becca and Nick sought to use music and sound combined with the recorded reading by Becca to provide the raw material with which listeners might construct and experience their own internal “movie” of the story. Their hope is that it functions to extend the range of images, emotions, and associations that a listener will develop as he or she listens to the recordings.
